Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Blossomlink LLC, the company that operates Lifelane. By creating an account or using Lifelane, you agree to them.

1. What Lifelane is

Lifelane is a calendar application that connects to your Google Calendar. It displays and edits your events, adds travel-time events for meetings with a location, connects to task services you choose, and keeps a personal log of your days. Lifelane is currently in beta and offered free of charge; paid plans may be introduced later, with notice.

2. Your account

You sign in with a Google account, and you need one to use Lifelane. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. You must be at least 13 years old, and if you are not old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live, you may use Lifelane only with a parent or guardian's consent.

3. Your data

Your calendar, tasks, notes, and everything else you bring into or create in Lifelane remain yours. We claim no ownership of it. You grant Blossomlink LLC only the limited rights needed to operate the service: to store, process, and transmit your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Lifelane's property

The Lifelane software, design, and branding belong to Blossomlink LLC. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service; they don't transfer any ownership in it. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

5. Third-party services

Lifelane works on top of services we don't control: Google Calendar, task services you connect, and routing data providers. Their availability, their terms, and changes they make are outside our control, and Lifelane's features that depend on them may stop working if they change or become unavailable.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Lifelane to break the law, to interfere with the service or other people's use of it, to probe or breach its security, or to access it by automated means outside the interfaces we provide. We may suspend accounts that do.

7. Beta software, provided as is

Lifelane is under active development. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that estimates such as travel times are accurate, or that data will never be lost. Keep in mind that your calendar data itself lives in Google Calendar; Lifelane stores a synced copy.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blossomlink LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Lifelane. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars if you have paid nothing. These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Lifelane at any time; the Privacy Policy explains how to disconnect your account and request deletion of stored data. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect, identifying what changed, and where the change matters to your rights we will ask you to accept it before you continue using Lifelane.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York. If the law of the place where you live grants you consumer protections that cannot be waived by contract, including the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, nothing in these terms takes those away.

12. General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Blossomlink LLC about Lifelane. If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. You may not assign your rights under these terms; we may assign ours as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including limitations of liability and governing law, do survive it.
